Palapas Ventana, a small Ocean Adventure Resort in Southern Baja, Mexico is currently looking for a Maintenance Coordinator! It is a unique resort offering our guests The Best of Baja through seasonal water sports - KiteBoarding in the winter and Diving and Fishing in the summer plus SUP, kayaking, hiking, education groups and more all year round. Our resort has 13 casitas, 6 boats, 4 cars, a backhoe, and they all need to be maintained to be ready for guest activities.
Our Maintenance Coordinator supervises personnel to do preventative maintenance and repairs on all our equipment. The Maintenance coordinator must have boat, car, household and machinery maintenance experience. They must be familiar with tools, electrical, plumbing, and have a can do attitude for problem solving. They must be positive and friendly to guests on vacation . They are in charge of launching and landing all of our boats and driving the backhoe
Duties include:
running meetings
assigning tasks and inspecting work
launching and landing boats
Making La Paz runs for parts
Coordinating with outside mechanics to help us with specialty repairs on outboards cars and the backhoe when needed
scheduling all maintenance assistants
managing team
doing performance reviews and corrective disciplinary meetings
monitoring daily employee checklists
Maintenance coordinator must be a leader and must be able to perform physical labor on the beach and at the casitas. we are looking for minimum 3 year commitment and hoping for the right person who wants to stay long term and grow with our family run business - a person who wants to make our resort shine, and take care of our guests, and add their own creative flair.
